FOUR PRINCIPLES KAIZEN AWARDS – OUR MECHANISM FOR LEAN GROWTH IN SAUDI ARABIA AND THE MIDDLE EAST
Complacency is the main challenge facing many organizations, especially the most successful ones. The widespread belief that if there are no problems then there is nothing to fix, is actually a huge problem, or quoting Taiichi Ohno, “the biggest problem of all”. Lean management remedies, this as the belief that everything can be improved stands in its core.
Four Principles’ aim is to spread the Lean philosophy in Saudi Arabia and the region and demonstrate how it is not just a management toolkit, but a profound change of corporate culture, from the bottom of the organization to the top and vice versa.
The Four Principles Kaizen Awards are a recognition of continuous improvement seeking to drive overall awareness and implementation of Lean throughout Saudi Arabia and the region.
As the leading Lean Management implementation experts in the region, we seek to recognize and reward organizations that implement Lean across their value streams. Hosted for the first time in December 2018, the Kaizen Awards ceremony took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where entrants shared their Lean success stories in one of two categories, ‘Continuous Improvement Process’ and ‘Lean Transformation’.
